Great Falls Food Bank helps feed kids during summer
Some kids in Great Falls are getting the opportunity to fill their backpacks not with textbooks - but instead with food.
The Great Falls Community Food Bank will distribute 4,000 packs of food for seven weeks this summer.
Five elementary schools are participating in the program, which will send two packs of food home each weekend with summer school participants in need.
Gayle Gifford, director of the food bank, explained, "We have noticed just with a couple of small pantries that we've planted over the last six months, the increase in attention span, even improvement in athletics and things like that you wouldn't necessarily expect. These kids cannot focus if they're hungry."
Gifford says they plan to continue the program in the fall semester at three Great Falls schools, serving around 300 children.

I only have one baby, but I know friends and family who have more then one kid… some use a big eddie bauer diaper bag and I know others who use backpacks. I am actually thinking of using a backpack. more storage units and some have more then one section. one section could be for your newborn (bigger section) then the smaller section could be for your older child, what does she need? diapers, juice cup, snacks.
Or you could get your older daughter a backpack for herself (let her pick it out, then she might be more inclined to wear it) then put her diapers juice cup, snacks in there. She might feel grown up and feel like mommy!

One diaper bag. My sis has two kids and uses one bag and its fine for her and stylish…she got it at Target. I have a 20 month old son and I dont even use a diaper bag for him anymore. I use my regular purse and toss in a diaper and a travel wipe case and thats all he needs. We are trying to conceive right now and I plan on having one bag for both kids.
