I took this with the intention of installing it in a thin shell SATA DVD to use as a portable USB2 BD. From the beginning I had trouble recognizing BD movies. It has no problem with DVD and CD is in My Computer as the BD-ROM. I gave up for some ", but an upcoming trip led me to this number thing. Finally I found a thread somewhere where it was suggested that the goal clean with alcohol. After a few gentle scrub but more powerful, to my amazement worked. I played about five or six movies in 3 different computers without problems. Then, suddenly, he started stuttering playback. I connected the laptop, it worked the first time and now again, would not even recognize the BD disc. I have a little more research and dug a comment on a slim Sony DVD player, the drive was suggested the need to bend space and that by loosening the screws holding it in place would I half decided to remove my equipment and plug it directly into the chipset. Yahoo does it again. Actually, I think I need to trim or just leave the file on the release of the drawer / sliding mechanism more freely operate. There are many discussions about updating the firmware and driver installation UDF (especially XP), but my feeling is mostly mechanical. In my Manx Shearwater was defective, so he went back and got a full refund. All's well that ends well.
