Chamber continuing to accept license plate applications
The Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce is collecting applications for the new 2012 SML license plate.
The deadline to submit an application is Jan. 1, 2012. The Chamber is seeking 350 pre-paid $10 applications to put the plate into production.
To download a DMV/SML Chamber application, access visitsmithmountainlake.com , complete the application and return it with a check (cash will not be accepted) made out to SMLRCC for $10. Bring by or mail your application and check to the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, 16430 Booker T. Washington Highway, Moneta, VA 24121.
The plate features the Chamber's logo and slogan "Closer than you think!" It can feature up to six characters.
