“I pulled up to a dumpster to dump some trash out of my van. When I was going to get back in my van, I heard a girl yelling and it sounded like she was saying, ‘You (SOB).’ But I really didn’t pay much attention because I was working,” he said. “When I pulled out from the dumpster and started going down the street, I heard the bang, bang, bang. I came back to the newspaper, and then went back to give the police a statement. The Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth Services contacted Towamencin police June 25, reporting the child had been transported from his home to Abington-Lansdale Hospital June 24, according to the release. After arriving at the hospital, he was flown by helicopter to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was diagnosed with a fractured skull and a brain injury. East said the child vomited on his shorts, and he carried Enzo into the bathroom to bathe him, according to police. East said he was “overwhelmed” and struck his son’s head on a hard surface between two sinks in the bathroom. He said he then bathed the child before noticing he was not breathing and his eyes were rolling back in his head.
